How can I get VIU Full Text access in Google Scholar?

Tired of hitting a paywall when you are searching Google Scholar?

Set up VIU as your preferred Library to get full text access via the VIU Library: 

1. Go to https://scholar.google.ca

2. Click on the three horizontal bars in upper left to open the menu, then the cog for Settings

3. Click on "Library Links" in the left menu

4. Search for Vancouver Island University and select "Vancouver Island University Libraries - Get it from Library@VIU"

5. Save settings and proceed with searching

Blue link text from GoogleScholar that says Get it from Library@VIU with a red arrow pointing to it for emphasis

You will now see "Get it from Library@VIU" to the right of search results which, when clicked, will take you into VIU library catalogue for full-text access.
